Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy
Our Aim
Trusted Assessing and Care Training Ltd (TACT) is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or any part of our business. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships. We acknowledge our responsibilities under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and are committed to improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking.
Scope
This policy applies to all persons working for us or on our behalf in any capacity, including employees at all levels, directors, officers, agency workers, seconded workers, volunteers, interns, agents, contractors, external consultants, third-party representatives, and business partners.
TACT provides accredited training programmes, supervision, assessment and consultancy in the health and social care sector. Our services include upskilling staff for equipment assessment and home adaptations, supervising Occupational Therapists and Trusted Assessors and carrying out Occupational Therapy assessments of need.
Our supply chains primarily include:
- Freelance associates (Occupational Therapists).
- Training venues.
- Suppliers of daily living equipment.
Given the professional nature of our services and the highly regulated environment of health and social care in which we operate, we consider the risk of modern slavery within our direct business operations to be low. However, we remain vigilant and committed to professional ethics.
We include modern slavery risks in our recruitment and procurement processes. All associates and staff are vetted through our Staffing Policy.
We evaluate our supply chain and business activities to identify areas of risk. We consider our risk to be low, but we remain vigilant.
We ensure staff and associates are aware of the signs of modern slavery and how to report concerns.
Employees and associates are encouraged to raise concerns about any issue or suspicion of modern slavery at the earliest possible stage. Concerns should be reported to our Director, Clare Barber.
TACT is not required to publish an annual statement under Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, which applies to organisations with a turnover of £36 million or more. We have adopted this policy voluntarily, in line with the principles of the Act.
Signed: Clare Barber, Director. Date: 31 March 2026.
